BEAUTY REVIEW #03 - PURITY ORGANIC SKINCARE

I was very kindly sent these new skincare products to try out by Purity Organic Skincare a couple of months ago. I couldn't wait to try them... doesn't everyone love to pamper themselves just a little bit? So I got stuck right in!

The reason I've left the review until now is because I wanted to give a solid amount of time to using these products daily, so I could best analyse the results of the products.

Purity say... "Intelligent Ingredients, few in numbers and highly effective, a combination which results in beautiful skin and is kind to the earth, with 98% of the ingredients of natural origin"

Purity is a brand that are against animal testing, do not purchase ingredients from other companies who test on animals and only test their own products on human volunteers which really impresses me - this seems to be rare in the cosmetics industry! All of their range is suitable for vegetarians and for vegans EXCEPT the Facial Moisturiser and Regenerating Overnight Moisturiser which both contain Beeswax. Let's get straight to it... how did they do?

This is a make up remover which I apply, remove with cotton wool and rinse. It contains avocado oil, oats, coconut, rose flower water & aloe. It claims to be fragrance free yet it does have a very delicate sweet, natural "oaty" smell to it which is quite nice. It has a light milky consistency and removes even tough mascara with no problems and no stingy eyes! This sort of product I don't personally use that often (face wipes are the go-to for me) however for a good thorough night of pampering this is perfect! For £4.99 this 150ml bottle really would last you a long time, so not bad value either.

I love a good exfoliator so I was pleased to be testing this deep pore cleanser. It's made with coconut oil, sweet almond oil and aloe vera with tiny pieces of ground coconut shell. This was creamy in consistency and did seem to moisturise my skin along with removing dead skin cells, and the tiny coconut pieces worked very well. The only thing I would change about this product is to have MORE of the coconut shell as this wasn't quite as "tough" as I'd like an exfoliator to be. Then again it is made for sensitive skin, so I guess that's the reason it isn't as dense with rough particles as others I've tried. Still, I have already finished this whole bottle! For £5.99 this 150ml product wasn't quite strong enough for me, but would suit more sensitive skin types perfectly.

Moisturising is so important, especially before bed! This overnight moisturiser is described as an "intensive, rich, repairing & healing cream" containing sweet almond oil, beeswax, aloe vera and Vitamin E. I have to say, I really love this one. It's almost a thick mousse texture and after cleansing, just feels so soft on the skin without being heavy. This 50ml pot will last me ages as I only need to use a little each time as it's so thick. For £7.99 I will most definitely be purchasing again.

The facial wash is the one product out of the bunch I didn't like. It foams up and cleanses without a problem and works well, but unfortunately, despite claiming to be fragrance free it just has the most BIZARRE smell which really puts me off using it. It's an "articficial" smell, almost like plastic or rubber... the opposite of what you'd expect from an organic product containing aloe vera, sweet almond oil and sugar-based foam. I have used quite a bit, but I think this one kinda NEEDS a sweet fragrance adding to it. For £4.99 I have to say I wouldn't consider purchasing this again.

The Anti-Aging Moisturiser is surprisingly my FAVOURITE product of the bunch! I only have 24 year old skin so it's not like I need to worry about wrinkles too much just yet, but I just love the sheer luxuriousness of this product. It contains cranberry seed oil, Shea Butter, beeswax and Rosehip seed oil and it's thick and velvety smooth in consistency. Smothering this all over after cleansing is cooling, refreshing and just leaves your face baby soft. A 50ml pot is £7.99 and I would continue to buy this again and again... my cheeks are like newborn baby skin after using this! Just DIVINE.

The Anti-Aging Serum & Mask contains Vitamin E, cranberry seed oil, Omega 3 and rosewater to tone; described as a powerful treatment to boost your skin's natural regeneration process. This is a 10 minute rinse off mask, or can be rubbed into the skin and kept on overnight for an extra intensive boost. It's a watery jelly-like consistency and is very cooling on the skin. This is a product I wouldn't use daily, but would be the perfect addition to a pamper evening with a nice hot bubble bath. £8.99 is a good price for a luxury product like this and the 50ml pot really would last a long while.

.............................................................

Overall, I've loved using this new skincare routine and love that the products all work in harmony with each other. My skin is clear and super soft, and I rarely ever get breakouts these days which is FABULOUS! I can't be doing with spots at 24! If you're conscious about putting too many chemicals on your skin or are firmly against animal testing for beauty purposes, then these are the perfect products for you. To me they just seem so "clean", honest and simple. I'm very impressed by Purity Organic Skincare! You can order any of these products online from their store or you can buy them out and about in Superdrug or Holland & Barrett stores. Give them a follow on Twitter @PuritySkincare. Do let me know if you give any a go!
